Product direction
Lumen is being developed as an independent browsing experience within the Aurora ecosystem. The available public information does not establish whether its rendering engine is custom-built or based on an existing project. That decision should be stated explicitly when it is confirmed, rather than inferred from the product's name or visual concepts.
A browser is a security-sensitive application: it processes hostile remote content, manages credentials and sessions, and mediates access to local resources. Lumen's public documentation should make these responsibilities visible instead of relying on broad privacy or security claims.
Compatibility
Document supported web standards, rendering behavior and known compatibility gaps against repeatable test suites.
Content boundaries
Explain how sites, tabs, processes and privileged browser components are separated. No isolation guarantee is claimed until implemented and tested.
Data transparency
Specify local storage, synchronization, telemetry, crash reporting and external services before describing the privacy model.
Permission review
Define extension permissions, provenance, update policy and compatibility checks before accepting third-party code.
Privacy and engineering
No complete product privacy policy or browser security assessment has been verified for Lumen. Read the privacy documentation for the questions that remain to be answered, and the development register for the current evidence boundary.
What a credible browser release must publish
- Supported operating systems and minimum runtime requirements.
- Rendering engine and web-platform compatibility information.
- Process and site-isolation design, including known limitations.
- Permission model, extension policy and update mechanism.
- Privacy disclosures, security advisories and reproducible test results.
This is a documentation and verification checklist. It does not assert that Lumen currently implements any listed capability.
